| Darwin ladies went into a frenzy when NT’s leading nightclub Discovery played host to Manhunt Australia National Final. Discovery’s main stage transformed into a sizzling display of toned physiques and killer looks to match, impressing the capacity crowd of screaming women. Manhunt Australia is the search for an up and coming male model that has everything a woman could desire - great looks, personality, charm and a well defined physique. Run through selected venues across most States and Territories, the contestants were judged in two categories – Eveningwear and Swimwear, where the most important elements are his fitness and physique, and of course his modeling ability. Throughout the week the guys competed in 4 judging sessions: Interview, photographic, swimwear and eveningwear, attended VIP parties all culminating at the Manhunt Australia National Final – Discovery Nightclub, Thursday 19th November. The 2009 Manhunt Australia winner was Alex Biffin who took home the title Mister Australia and over $ 7 000 in cash and prizes including a trip to compete in the 2009 Manhunt International World Final in China. His routines on the big night included a whip cracking display in his swimwear judging. Alex resides in Upper Coomera where he works as a lead entertainer at the RM Williams Outback Spectacular attraction. This talented 23 year old enjoys surfing, wakeboarding and training horses. He can even rowan ride (two horses at once). Born and bred in Camden, NSW, this country boy traveled for 4 months throughout NT and WA exploring this amazing land and working as a Jackeroo before moving to the Gold Coast just 11 months ago. He is now preparing to travel to upcoming Manhunt International Final in China early next year, where he will spend a jam packed week attending VIP appearances, media interviews and visiting a number of tourist spots that China has to offer. He will compete against 50 male models from around the world for the coveted Manhunt International World title and the opportunity to show his look to talent scouts and top designers who attend this major event.
